Hajde da proces komuniciranja posmatramo kao ponašanje u saobraćaju...
We have to watch out who is coming towards us,who is in front of us,who we leave behind. How fast and how efficiently can we react, considering the car we are driving. The overview is better if we watch the crossroads from a double- decker bus, than from a car...
What do you think, could a communication compass  be of any use?
Is this tool worth creating? Can this be a solution for improvement of interpersonal relationships?
The more I look, the more I see people who don`t  need others to talk to,who can`t  see the signals of nonverbal communication, who don`t  pay enough attention to the people they are talking to and their need to express themselves. They are only interested in personal marketing, which becomes the communication goal.
It seems that people tend to forget how important the communication skills are. Those are the skills we use from the moment we are born.In the beginning it was nonverbal communication, through tears and laughter, then we started learning verbal communication-from our parents, relatives, friends at school,at play...So,we accepted one communication system, and we thought it is quite enough to lead a team,a project,a company.
We think it is enough to build and preserve relationships with clients, institutions, media.
Then,a problem appears – over 80% of conflicts are caused by miscommunication! But,the bad communication is only a consequence.
There are a number of causes – different and opposed interests,goals,values,interpretations,emotions...together with the special spice called vanity!
What to do now when we think we are great at communication?
The four sides of communication compass tell us this:
Everyone has his/her own mental architecture, through which the information are perceived.
What is certain is this – the person we are talking to has his/her own reasons and motives – and we only see the person`s  behaviour.
Sometimes  the person opposite us is difficult to communicate with, but we are sometimes like that, aren`t  we?
Nevertheless, the person we are talking to deserves our respect, and we should give him/her a chance to express himself/herself!
If we have in mind that communication is a two-way street, than we can be sure that the four sides of this compass  will help us move efficiently in personal and business environment.
Finally,let us remember  Nietzsche`s  words:
"The speech is not words themselves, but the tone, volume, modulation and the tempo according to which words are pronounced – shortly, music behind words, passion behind music, person behind passion. Therefore, everything that cannot be written."
